Made with meticulous attention to detail – resulting in a highest quality, uniquely African coffee – rich and complex, yet delicate and pure.

Estate Flavors:

Buliza: possesses characteristics of sweetness, jammy, citrus notes along with a fruity after taste

Cyebumba: definite flowery aroma; with a mixture of nutty, fruity and juicy flavors, and tends to have a balanced, smooth mouthfeel.

Shangi: light malic acidity, sweet notes, with a mixture of fruity flavors, and a nutty aftertaste. 

Nkora: characteristics of sweet honey, citric notes , smooth body, and a milk chocolate after taste. 

Kigeme: possesses Apricot flavor, spice notes, complex and definite fruity flavors, and lime finish.

Cup profile:

The coffee has a beautiful aroma (honey, floral, dark chocolate, nut, coriander seeds) sweet with many fruits (orange, grapefruit, apple), spicy (clove like, blackcurrant, vanilla). Well balanced with medium acidity. The cup is very clean and the aftertaste is extremely smooth. The overall score is 86% on the SCAA scale.

Bold and delicious

Whether using an espresso maker or a French press, this coffee does not let you down. It is also nice to be able to see which form it comes from. My first order I placed, I actually called the coffee shop in Rwanda and had a wonderful time dealing with them.

Double AA beans done correctly. Can’t say to much more than if you want quality coffee that is next level kivu noir is it... Hopes and prayers for the return of this fine coffee in the k-cups.

Kivunoir is a very good coffee the fruit taste and the flavor makes it very good to drink especially if you don’t like cream in your coffee
